The Desire between the Eye and the Gaze
I’m express the desire that is two incompatible perspectives by difference of the visual and auditory senses.
Almost in every moment, we live with two different perspective about the view of others or self when we see something. But we desire to appear always with self to other people also we want to get understand from others.
Especially, I used the repeat of sound and silence for notice the incompatible perspectives during watch this work. And those two views are repeated with short or long intervals like our mind. Also, audience can experience about two different perspectives during screening.
Everything is so beautiful view from afar.

시선과 응시 사이의 욕망
나는 두가지의 상반된 시선을 통해 본 욕망을 시청각적 차이를 통해 말한다.
우리는 타자와 자신이라는 상반된 시선으로 거의 매 순간을 경험하며 산다. 그러나 우리는 타인으로부터, 자신의 시선에서 타인도 자신을 바라봐주기를 원하거나 자신과 같은 관점에서 타인으로부터 이해받기를 욕망한다.
특별히 나는 이 작품에서 소리와 침묵을 반복하며 그 미묘한 상반된 시선을 알아차리게 하는데 이용한다. 이 상반된 시선은 마치 우리의 마음처럼 짧거나 긴 시간의 차이와 함께 반복된다.
또한 작품이 상영되는 동안 관객들은 각각의 상반된 측면의 상태를 경험하게 된다.
멀리서 보면 모두가 아름답다.
